Lucy has been designed in collaboration with consultant breast surgeons to closely replicate real anatomy and deliver a highly realistic training experience for multiple oncological resections and oncoplastic reconstructive procedures.
The simulator includes:
– Lateral, anterior and medial intercostal artery perforators allowing LICAP, AICAP and MICAP.
– Multiple sets of perforator vessels to prompt decision making from the surgeon.
– Realistic soft tissue layers for de-epithelialisation.
Breast:
Breast: Skin, nipple, fatty tissue, breast gland, pectoralis major and minor, latissimus dorsi, serratus anterior and intercostal muscles.
One palpable and two non-palpable invasive carcinomas.
Bones: Rib cage, clavicle, sternum and scapula.
Vessels:
Anterior, medial and lateral intercostal artery perforators.
